As part of the N-Tutorr project in MTU, a range of projects were focused on additions or enhancements to MTU’s existing physical infrastructure. This included the provision of additional physical spaces, updates to labs and teaching spaces, re-purposing of existing MTU spaces and the purchase and installation of physical equipment among others

One button recording studios are now available for instructors to create video based training material in a high quality soundproof space.

MTU’s Hybrid rooms allow seamless instruction of groups split between in person and online participation.

As technology advances rapidly, multimedia is undergoing transformative changes; MTU must be at the forefront of these developments. The integration of audiovisual and immersive VR tools into our research labs and teaching has enhanced education for our students

NMCI Maritime & R&D Lab
This project is for an ambitious maritime research and development lab in MTU housed within the National Maritime College of Ireland.

I-DOVE
I-DOVE (“Integrated Digital One Health Versatile Education”) is a key project in MTU achieving its goal of digitally transforming teaching and learning in the Department of Biological & Pharmaceutical Sciences (BPS).

Technology for Modern Ecological Surveying
This project has allowed MTU to invest in such equipment for remote and passive monitoring and drone surveying would allow us to expand the scope of our teaching and research and allow us to better equip our graduates for the environment in which they will be working.

Digital Transformation - CCAD
This project is future-orientating regarding staff and student requirements for teaching, making, and access as it dovetails into the physical and structural renovation of the photographic & sculpture workshops at Sharman Crawford Street and the students it serves.
